The manuscript
currrently contains 44 "Sturm und Drang" Sonatas (with
some additional variants) for Baroque Lute in tabulature. They are of consistently
excellent musical quality, even with some stylistic limitations
discernible in the manuscript. They seem to have their intended purpose in serving as Preludes, as they modulate in a maximum possible ways, and obviously are intended for Equal Temperament.
A number of these sonatas have
been premiered by Luca Pianca at various Early Music festivals
(Urbino, Salamanca, Lisbon, Schwetzingen, Vilnius).
Many Sonatas
are undergoing revision, and there will be important editorial
improvements, so please, do check this page regularly.
You may freely
use this music for either public performance or private enjoyment.

are available at a separate page as well. All the TOMBEAUX
are now available at an omonymous page. All the Passacaglias
and Chaconnes are found in the OSTINATO
page. All
the VOCAL MUSIC is available
